If you have a Long Term Care Insurance policy or a Nursing Home policy, you should know that they cover partial or all of the costs affiliated with Assisted Living Facilities. You have probably been paying on them for decades. What you may not recall is how much they pay per pay and for how many years. All policies are different. I recommend that you review your policy, make a list of questions for your agent and make a phone call to inform yourself and your loved ones should the issue come about that you need to make that choice of where you need to go and do you have the resources, the policy coverage or funds, to make that transition. It’s always better to educate yourself before the need so it’s less stress on all involved.
