I wanted to share with everyone a few issues I’ve encountered with potential residents lately. They have LTC (Long Term Care) policies but are finding that even with their doctors order these policies are denying their claims. You can always file an appeal but that doesn’t guarantee anything.
My purpose for this post is that I’m always encouraging to plan ahead. If you have a LTC or nursing home policy I would contact your insurance agent or call the company to verify qualifications with them, get an update on the daily rate they pay and the life of the policy. That information is very important in making your decisions about the right time and right place to find your perfect retirement community!!
